C-828: Medicinal Leech

Asclepius was born into misfortune, as he was taken away from his mother at a young age by two scientists and doctors who used him as a test subject for their medical experiments. During these experiments, he was subjected to bloodletting procedures that eventually caused his own blood to become contaminated and poisoned. Once modern medicine arrived, the scientists had no more need for him, and they discarded him like garbage. This trauma left a deep scar on Asclepius, and he now lives as a mortuary/forensic pathologist assistant, preferring the company of the deceased rather than the living.

Asclepius is a solitary figure who dwells in a worn-down shed on the grounds of the mortuary where he works. He is a heavy drinker and has few friends, preferring to keep his distance from most people. On rainy days, he comes alive, and these are his favorite days, as the rain gives him a sense of peace and solitude. He is also chronically fatigued and afraid to get close to others, fearing he would infect them with the contaminated blood that flows through his veins. He occasionally sells organs and body parts to the black market for extra cash.
