Costume Craze
About
Spirits craft costumes and wear them for performance art. Some spirits even use wick paint to make their costumes glow in the night. Spirits do this in order to scare away Mormōil that become more active in the cold weather of October. It is believed that these costumes are intimidating enough to keep them at bay. The design of the costumes can get very creative but they often contain exaggerated features such as big eyes, big claws, big teeth, colorful patterns etc. Any feature that may make the costume look intimidating is encouraged.
Requirements
- Draw your character wearing a costume.
- The costume does not have to match your character their theme.
- Feel free to get creative!
- Costumes can be very minimal if wanted.
ART/WRITING RULES
- Any art used for this prompt must be drawn by yourself, it doesn't have to be your own character.
- Additionally no existing bases may be used and the art/writing must be your own.
- Can include other official Sprite Festival characters unless stated otherwise in the card above! Human Forms are not allowed this time!
- Can be Traditional, Digital or other!
- You can make up to 3 submissions per prompt!
- Written entries must have a minimum of 400 words.
- Drawn/crafted entries must be at least a clean, sketchy and coloured fullbody.
GENERAL RULES
- Users can make up to 3 submissions per prompt. But only the first submission counts for rewards outside of festival tickets.
- Art created for these prompts count as personal or gift art and do not add value.
- Do not submit any images featuring sexual themes, hateful messages or other themes that are against our general rules
- If doing a written entry, feel free to write something with the information given.
REWARDS
Every participant receives the following:
- 25 festival tickets
- Wick paint
- Completing all 3 prompts will give you Phantom loot
For art submissions you will need a url link, there are multiple ways you can link your entry!
Some useful ways are:
- Upload your artwork to your preferred platform and link it under the submission
- You can send it in the community discord and copy the message link to put in your submission.
- You can upload it to the character's toyhouse, view the image from there and copy that link to pop in your submission!
For written entries, you can either:
- Write your entry on site through the comment section or write your entry as a Literature in the Chowling Gallery!
- Write your entry using external softwares, as long as a link is available for mods to view your work!
Once you have a link go to the ‘Submit prompt’ Button at the bottom of this page, fill out all the info in the form and finish off with the ‘submit’ button at the end of the page. Over the next few days a Moderator will manually check and approve your Prompt and your rewards will be automatically sent to your account!
