Cozy home

The forest floor rustles as usual, Butterscotch thinks to himself.
Hearing hear the crashing of waves in the distance, bees buzzing around looking for flowers and the summer heat on his fur. It truly is an awfully hot summer day.
If it wouldn't be for the fact he's planning to spand it with his Partner he surely would find it even more awful than it already is.

He always loved the short forest walk to Poyo's home no matter the season. The familiar sights might start to bore some but he truly cherishes them every single time.
Living far more in the city himself he knows that nature isn't something he can be around every single day. So seeing all these trees, vegetation and little critters running around on his bi-weekly walk through the forest is like a little mind reset to him.
Not to forget that at the end of this road always has his amazing partner for him. *And their lovely baking and tea but that's besides the point*

Adjusting the two big bags he's holsting on his shoulder he carries on his way. Not too far anymore and he's there!
As if they knew what he was thinking he already heard a little screech of joy from ahead. "Well Fumiko seems to be up and zooming around again" he mumbles to himself while approaching the home.

Before he could reach the door he already sees the curtains of the window next to the door flutter closed and hear Fumiko scream "HE'S HERE MOOOM!!".
Now knowing they saw him he waited in front of the door to let them open the door 'before he could reach it'.
First there's some quiet pitter-pattering around, then some slight scratching at the door and in no time did the small Chowling open the door and jump into Butterscotch's already quite full arms.

Barely being able to balance the little child and the bags he managed to get inside and close the door without dropping a simgle thing (or chow) and placed Fumiko back on the floor.
"Glad to see you too silly" he happily exclaimed while hugging her properly this time. "We gotta find your even sillier mom now though-" he whispered while looking around the room.
Together they started to tip-toe around the house looking for Poyo, only for her to be in the backyard tending to her flowers.

A lightbulb going on in his head he quietly tells Fumiko, "You go distract your mom while I prepare some treats for us all". And gently pushes her outside.
Poyo obviously noticed them both but decides to go along with whatever those goofs might have planned and pretends to ignore them both until Fumiko jumps on her back attacking her viciously (hugging her and screaming to not go inside for now but for nooo reason of course :p)

Meanwhile Butterscotch is preparing what he came here to do. A little private Pride festival!
He knows Poyo and Fumiko can't go out into the city too often and due to this they'd both surely miss all the fun pride festivities going on.
Well, not on his watch. Before making his way to the forest he went around the little shops in the City and gathered a bunch of little things for their own little party.
Some decoration, some flags, a few treats, some cool handmade bracelets and other handmade products from queer sellers at the big festival as well as some general toys and books for Fumiko.

He set up everything in the living room with all treats on the desk, the flags hung up and all gifts for the two on the couch.
Looking at it all he can't help but be feel lucky that he has such an amazing little family. And just as he thought that they both came back into the house looking for him and what he's up to.

Poyo was the first to see the living room all decorated and colourful. "Oh my! I thought you were trying to get a nap before seeing me but here you are decorating the entire place!"
They were ecstatic with the set up he's made and cute little candies and baked goods on the table.
Fumiko was close behind them and immediately set her eyes on the colourfull presents on the couch. "OOOOH is there something for me?!" the energetic chow practically screeched.
Jumping her way from one end of the living room over to the couch she drops down in front of it and stares up at both Poyo and Butterscotch with puppy dog eyes.

"We'll explain yourself Party king." Poyo jokes while pointing at the culprit.
"Nuuu I found all this stuff in the woods on my way here what can I say? I'm not gonna leave a bag with perfectly good cookied behind yaknow" he says while shrugginf his shoulders trying to deflect from himself. "But what I do know is that this pile of gifts is for you", he points at a small pile of wrapped gifts and then at Poyo, "And this other one is for a little gremlin hahaha".
Ignoring his antics and completely understanding what he said Fumiko jumps up and immediately starts grappling her Gifts "THANK YOU SO MUCH" is all she can scream out before being completely ingulfed in opening her presents.

Poyo on the other hand decided to take her time and thank Butterscotch first with a hug and a forehead kiss.
"Thank you for all of this. I was preparing to mope around and complain that I couldn't see the festival this year but this, this might be even better" they said with a big smile on their face.
"It's the least I could do. Plus I really really wanted to see the little gremlin again yaknow". A loud HEEY interrupted their talking as 'the little gremlin' looked up at them, brand new plushie in her hands.

"I'll go put on the kettle" he hurriedly says before dissapearing in the kitchen. Fumiko just huffed happily and contunied unwrapping and admiring her new toys and friends.
Poyo now also having more interest in her gifts decited to sit down on the couch and started opening them. Revealing some jewelery, handmade cards and crocheted flowers. But while looking around themselves they realize that the best gift he brough was himself and they joy on Fumikos face. This might truly be the best Pride in a long time.

In the kitchen Buttercotch stands filling up the kettle with filtered water. A huge grin on his face and truly feeling blessed at the happy reaction from his partner and kid.
