Using the black dye on your Chowling will cause them to become melanistic! Chowlings with the melanism trait have a dark base color rather than a cream color, and they have fully dark eyes due to an increased amount of pigment in the Chowling's skin. Markings on these Chowlings are generally dark, but this can vary depending on the amount of pigment in their skin. This dye effects their base color, skin, tongue, paw pads and eyes.
